History of power systems and energy course | PSEC

PSEC started with four students in 1949, focusing on power systems engineering invented by industry pioneers from GE. Over time, the reach of the program has expanded internationally, where PSEC has attracted attendees from 57 different nations.

As the electric power industry has evolved over the last 50+ years, it has become clear that PSEC needs to evolve with the industry and our customers. Historically, our full PSEC curriculum has been offered as a four-month program in Schenectady, NY. Over the last several years we’ve seen growing interest in students taking specific courses that are more directly aligned with what they focus on in their day-to-day careers. With this in mind we’ve made the decision to only offer PSEC training to our customers, at their sites around the world. If you’d like to learn how we can customize a training for your needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us

All courses will still be eligible for IEEE Continuing Education Units (CEU) and Professional Development Hours (PDH).
