The power economics team from GE's Energy Consulting business has done several studies which have helped Hawaii utilities, regulators, and other stakeholders in recognizing the technical and operational challenges of integrating high penetrations of wind and solar on the island systems of Hawaii. Their unique expertise in analytics and modeling, coupled with their technical understanding of Hawaii’s electric systems have made these studies a success.
